Youth Development

commandos of the future

We believe the Association is more than the old and bold. It is also about the future and the youth who may become the Commandos and Special Operations soldiers in the years to come.

The Australian Commando Association NSW supports the Cherrybrook Technology High "Rite of Passage" initiative. Connecting with the Teachers leading this program Rick Pedley-Smith and colleague Wade Fairclough, we supported the finish of one section of the Rite of Passage program. In this section the participants completed a 24 Endurance Challenge, a gruelling 50 klm overnight walk with Steve Willis (Commando Steve) pushing them along. This event include fundraising efforts by the boys with the proceeds going towards the Commando Welfare Trust. Well done to all participants.

We will expand its support of the youth in different initiatives to connect them with the military family and produce the Commandos of the future.
